St. George Personal Injury Attorneys Explain the Rising Number of Injuries Involving Distracted Driving

St. George personal injury attorneys at Dixon Truman Fisher & Clifford have witnessed firsthand how distracted driving is such an ever increasing problem despite all of the criticism and legal bans throughout the country. Around half of all drivers in the US between the ages of 21 - 24 say that they have messaged or emailed while driving.

A national survey by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) that describes the difficulty that authorities face when it comes to battling driving says that at any random moment last year on the streets and highways of America, nearly one in every 100 drivers was texting, surfing the Internet, emailing, or doing other activities using hand-hand electronic devices. This year, those and activities have spiked about 50 percent from last year, and that is with the rush to ban these practices.
